While I enjoy receiving gifts, it doesn't come close to the joy of giving back to my community and those that could use some love, compassion, and support. Help me support and uplift others in the Ottawa-Gatineau area and beyond.
Ottawa Independent Companions Emergency Fund
" Ottawa Independent Companions’ goal is to foster a sense of community among local independent sex workers, and provide a warm and welcoming space to collectively organize with other professional workers in our industry. Independent sex work can be isolating, and we believe that our collective power is more valuable when we work together, than when we work alone. OIC is run entirely for-and-by sex workers ourselves. " POWER (Prostitutes of Ottawa-Gatineau Work Educate Resist) is a bilingual, sex positive organization created by and for sex workers that works to further the rights of sex workers as workers and human beings... POWER is not a service organization, and usually our efforts are directed at fighting for decriminalization and fighting against the stigmatization of sex work in Canada. As such, we do not usually provide funds to sex workers like this, but this crisis is hitting our communities very hard, and so the POWER board has decided to dedicate a significant portion of our funds to emergency relief. If you would like to donate to the fund, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. "
" Kind Space is committed to providing Ottawa – located on unceded Algonquin territory, accessible resources, events, social, and educational programming to celebrate and support people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. "
" We do better when we’re together. Social isolation and rejection can have deadly consequences. When 2SLGBTQ+ people are disconnected from caring communities, peers, and spaces our well-being and mental health suffer. And that suffering is compounded by other aspects of our identities or experiences. This is why we are here. "
" Your gift to CHEO benefits generations today and in the future by helping us to:

The Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health
" For over 16 years, The Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health has been a place of belonging and a caring community for Ottawa’s Aboriginal population. Located in one of Ottawa’s poorest neighbourhoods, the Wabano Centre is a place to come together as a community each and every day. Our centre is designed around the Aboriginal belief that the mind, body, emotions and spirit must all be cared for. In order to support health and well-being, Wabano offers a full medical clinic, mental health clinic, community and cultural programs along with community outreach to provide a place that people can call home.
